"I want to capture that perfect image and to push the possibilities as far as I am able within the limits of the camera and film." - Brian Morgan

Brian D. Morgan (B. 1946)

After starting his career in 1961 as a photo-journalist for the daily record, Brian Morgan became the first full-time sports photographer in Scotland. Brian has gone on to specialize in golf photography and has photographed over 900 courses in 54 countries.

Brian's photography has also appeared in over 40 books published in English, Japanese, German, and Italian. His work has been published in more than 100 magazines including Golf Digest, Golf Magazine, and Links Magazine, and many others all over the world.

For many years he worked in an official capacity for each of the "Majors". For the Masters, he photographed the tournament and the course for the club for over 17 years. For the U.S. Open, he provided the course photography to be used in the programs several times, notably for Merion, Pebble Beach, and Oakland Hills, and the action photography in the 10 U.S. Open Annuals.

For The Open Championship, he provided course photography for several of the 14 championships he attended. Additionally, Morgan has covered dozens of tournaments in every corner of the globe including 8 Ryder Cups, until 6 years ago when he cut back to concentrate on golf course photography.

Presently, Brian produces his photographs in a variety of mediums, including c-prints and fine art limited editions using inkjet technology on archival papers.
